American Star

Most of the visitors of Fuerteventura know her: the ship that stranded on the "Playa de
Garcey" in January 1994 - the "SS American Star".

More than 10 years this proud old ship was one of the landmarks of the island and
almost every visitor has already dashed his rented car along the beaten track to this
beach to take a look at the ship.

Now it seems as if the last days of the die American Star have come. Every day she
lowers more to the side and supposedly she will not reach the end of the year.

For this reason we dedicate this page to the old lady with the, till now, last fotos.
